Meet Mona Litza

I'm Mona Litza™. Artist and ChefProducer.A decade as a musician, producer, and vocalist, making magic alongside Pat Metheny, Take 6, Juan Gabriel, Eric Benét, and Bobby Rush. Years inside sonic, live production and visual art. All of it was seasoning for what I'm actually building now.My visual practice was activated by a dream in 2019, following a series of epileptic seizures. It explores surreal portraiture and sculptural mixed media in acrylic, screw, and wood, examining identity, joy, and the courage to dream. The music, the art, and the dream that started it all are different dishes made from the same hunger. Every one of them taught me the same truth: no one can eat for you.We all gotta eat. But most of us settle for being fed someone else's version of our lives. I'm learning to cook in my own kitchen, and I'm pulling you in with me. Not just to watch the art get made, but to see how the making remakes the cook.If you're looking for a slow burn and a different relationship with an artist, I'm happy to share this journey with you.
Meet The Menu

"The Rise is the first piece in Against Gravity, the opening series of Rock Bottom Renaissance, a collection about what the spirit looks like when it refuses to stay down. It is a self-portrait: a female silhouette generating enough light to birth a pixelated dream, rising and materializing in real time. Not waiting to be saved. Not giving up. Just becoming the energy required to ascend. The surface is built from acrylic, wood, screw, and ink, and from real stories lived in New Orleans, including a collaboration with beloved local artist Ceaux. The Rise is one of three in this series. Every layer of this piece began at the same origin: rock bottom. Not as metaphor. As architecture. Because rock bottom, whether created or imposed, has no power against someone whose strength comes from within. If this is calling you, there are two ways in. Collect a limited edition relic from the series and carry a piece of this story with you. Or bring your own story to the table and we cook something together. Either way, send me a message. The kitchen is open."
